JOIN US IN WELCOMING ALEX JOHNSON

We are pleased to announce that Alex Johnson has accepted the call to join the Highlands staff team as Adult Discipleship Pastor! Alex will be overseeing the continued development of our adult classes, events, and ministry to men, with the goal of helping people deepen their relationship with God, and extending the hope and healing of Jesus to those around us. Alex did his undergraduate work at Wheaton College and received his MDIV from Denver Seminary. Most recently he has served as the campus pastor for a multi-site church in Barrington Illinois. Alex is passionate about, “seeing the dreams in God’s heart blossom in the lives of His children through catalytic authenticity, inspiring vulnerability and embodying wisdom.”

Alex and his wife Katey have three children: Josiah (7), Sofia (6), Madelyn (3). Katey is currently finishing her Master’s Degree in speech pathology. In addition to time together as a family Alex enjoys reading, running, road biking, golf and good food! He shared this regarding the call to serve here at HCC:

“We are very excited about the opportunity to join the staff at HCC and the work God is doing in the Pacific Northwest! Our heartbeat as a family is to see people coming alive to God and becoming the people God had in mind when He created them. We can’t wait to join you and see what God has in store for all of us in this important season in the life of HCC.”
