Congratulations Class of 2020!
We’re so proud of all of our 2020 high school and college graduates! You persevered through unforeseen challenges and have come through stronger and ready for whatever is next. We are thankful for all the years of getting to know you and watching you grow in your walk with Jesus, and we are praying for all of you in this time of transition.
We asked our high school seniors to reflect on their time at Highlands and what has been the most impactful. Here are a few responses:
“The LA Mission Trip. It was a really good experience to go and give back to the community and… see how much of an impact a small group could give to the homeless community. I thought it was really good to spread God’s word and see how happy that made people.”
“Joining the worship team. It helped build my character and build my skills as a musician. I was able to meet so many incredible people during my time on the worship team and I couldn’t ask for anything better.”
“Camps and retreats. I’m so thankful we get a week away…to spend time in fellowship and worship with each other. I’m so thankful for all the friends I now consider family and all the leaders who made those experiences what they are. “
“High school camps have been incredibly impactful. I’ve learned so much about who I am and who Christ says I am through those camps. I’ve had wonderful leaders and faculty who have walked with me through my walk with Christ.”
“D-Groups. Being able to spiritually connect with my friends and grow closer to God and build my faith up has been very influential in my life. I’ve had a lot of fun in D-Groups and lots of fun serving at camps with my friends. I thank Highlands for growing me as a person and helping me and my friends grow closer together and grow closer to God together. Thank you Highlands!”
