AN UPDATE FROM PASTOR TOM
I have some news to share with you about how God has been leading me to serve in the future. In the Fall, I will begin work with a firm here in Seattle called OneAccord. This will involve me providing leadership with churches and nonprofits who are going through times of transition. My time serving here at Highlands is coming to an end and I will be stepping into new ministry with this focus.
I am grateful for the privilege of serving at Highlands over the last six years. God has done amazing things through this time of transition in our life together. I have had a front row seat to see life change in people here at HCC and significant ministry to people in this community and around the world. I am excited to see how God will continue His good work both in and through this incredible church family.
Know that this is not an immediate or sudden change. As I mentioned, I will continue to serve full time at Highlands until the Fall in the capacities in which I am now serving. I know times of change are stretching. However, I am confident in how God will once again use this time to shape us and direct us to be His witnesses and make disciples!
You can view FAQ’s here regarding this transition, but if you have any additional questions about what this transition will look like, please don’t hesitate to talk with myself, or any of our staff and elders.
Thank you, Highlands, for your prayers for my family and I. It has been a privilege to serve with you!
