Jim Amandus

It has been my privilege to have Scott Kaseburg alongside me as my Executive Director. Scott and his wife Kathy raised their family at Highlands and have been serving Jesus for over 35 years. They love Jesus. When we truly love Jesus, then being faithful is easy. Faithfulness lives where love is stronger than instinct.

Scott has faithfully served the Lord and our church family as a teacher, disciple maker, and Elder. For the past seven years he has served the Lead Team, our pastoral staff, and me by applying his spiritual gift of administration. The Lord has added Scott’s faithfulness to our pastoral staff’s faith to give us traction on the road to accomplishing God’s mission for Highlands.

On June 1, Scott will transition off our pastoral team. After prayerful consideration with our current Elder Board Chairman, Andrew Prather, and with the endorsement of our Elders, Scott will not only continue to serve as an Elder but has agreed to serve as our next Elder Board Chairman. A godly leader holds faithfulness and sincerity as first principles just as God is faithful yesterday, today, and always. My trust is in the Lord. In a similar way, the people I owe my loyalty to are those who never made me question theirs—and Scott is among them.

Will you join me in thanking the Lord for Scott and Kathy Kaseburg? May Jesus continue to be glorified among us as we seek to trust in Him.

Soli Gloria Deio —Pastor Jim
