MIDDLE SCHOOL WINTER RETREAT 2020
We had over 75 students and leaders join us for this year’s Middle School Winter Retreat. Despite a couple rainy days, God moved mightily as students engaged in a variety of high energy activities and many memories were made.
This year’s camp theme was “Counter-Culture.” Students heard from our Connections Director, Zeb Greenfield, on what it means to be countercultural followers of Jesus according to Romans 12. They learned that God’s way—when it comes to issues of love, popularity, suffering, and revenge—is much better than the world’s way. Our hope is that they begin to live countercultural lives at school, at home, and on their sports teams for the sake of Jesus.
Throughout the weekend, students also participated in group activities that helped form spiritual friendships and connection. These included archery tag, rock climbing, dodge ball, a scavenger hunt, glow in the dark night, and more! Friendships were built and memories were made that will last for years to come.
Thank you for your prayers and support. We were able to see many students respond by recommitting their lives to Jesus and 12 others desiring to take a next step of obedience through baptism.
