Red Sock Offering Update from Honduras
Mike and Lisa Brenner

Thanks to the kids at Highlands and the Red Sock Offering, La Casa del Camino has three ukuleles, two guitars with cases, tuners and extra strings, Christian-based fiction and non-fiction books, new daily devotional books, new tennis shoes and new black school shoes, and each boy has extra school uniforms – both the khaki pants uniform and the sweatpants uniform – and of course four new bicycles and two new soccer balls! We are so grateful for the kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity shown by the kids. Please let the HCC kids and their families know what an inspiration and light they are to Miskito kids thousands of miles away!

The boys of La Casa del Camino are thankful and so excited to have each of the gifts. The devotional books and instruments are used daily, and the boys play soccer and ride the bicycles every day around the property, as we have been locked down under martial law for going on three weeks due to COVID-19 and are not allowed to leave our homes. There are no ventilators here and never have been. In fact, we came here fully aware that medical care is next to non-existent. What we need unceasing prayer for is for the virus not to reach here. We have no plans to leave here! We are trusting in God and His promises and we will weather this as will our boys! We tear up when I think of the love our church extends to us and to those who have so little around the world. Thank you all!

And the King will answer them, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:40
