Roger Crandall Suttle was born in Seattle, Washington on February 27th, 1948 to Bernard and Mildred Suttle. He grew up in Renton, Washington and graduated from Renton High School in 1966. He completed his undergraduate schooling at La Verne University in Southern California and received his Master’s Degree from Seattle Pacific University in Washington. Roger retired from the Kent School District after teaching for 32 years and has continued with his passion for teaching at the Rainier Christian School District, Maple Valley Elementary for the past 12 years.
Roger is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, Jennifer; their son Matthew, wife Valerie, daughter Loagen (13), son Emersen (4); their son Timothy, Shannon, daughter Morgan (12); their son Thomas, wife Uyen; and their daughter Rebekah, husband Jason, daughter Hope (6), sons Wilson (3) and Remington (8 months). He is also survived by his siblings Cheryl, Clifford and Craig along with many other family and friends.
Roger loved his family, his church and his work. He went to Heaven on August 30, 2015 and now Roger is truly HOME. We will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life for Roger Suttle will be held at Highlands Community Church on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations in memory of Roger to Maple Valley Elementary, 16700 174th Avenue SE, PO Box 58129, Renton, WA 98058 (Checks payable to: RCS-MVE; Note: Roger Suttle Memorial).
