Shalom—peace from God. A lot of people think they are at peace with God. But shouldn’t the question be, “Is God at peace with us?” The birth of Christ is God’s invitation for people to come and see who God is. Jesus is God’s Son who came to show us the Father. From the blue collar workers like the shepherds, to the privileged and powerful like the Magi and King Herod, God invites anyone to come and experience peace with God.

When we experience peace with God through faith alone in God’s blessed Son, Jesus Christ, then a whole new purpose opens up to us. People who know God become spiritual peacemakers. We are ambassadors of peace (2 Corinthians 5:20). That’s who we are.

Our success is not measured in the amount of money we make, but the lives we impact. Don’t ever underestimate the impact that you may have on someone else’s life. This Christmas you can help others be at peace with God. Christmas is God’s invitation to come and see who God is. This month, invite someone to come to church with you to hear how he or she can experience God’s peace too.
