A few years ago Highlands raised funds to bring water to the Tabora area of western Tanzania.  When we gave to that project we did not know that God would call us to go serve in Tanzania. It has been our privilege to share the gospel with the people here, and with them determine where to place a well.

Praise God that in His perfect timing we have now been able to drill a well!  God has led us to a small village near Tabora consisting primarily of the under-reached people group we came to serve.  This site is less than 10 miles from where we live in Tabora.  As this is currently a drought year, this well is a huge blessing to these dear, needy people.

Thirst No More is the organization that is drilling the well and they are doing it for far less than was initially projected. This is allowing us to drill another well in an additional area.  They have already drilled the additional borehole that will be finished with a hand pump installation before this month ends. Praise God we will have two wells for the price of one!

We are grateful to be working with our missionary partners Andy and Margaret Anderson in doing God’s work here. God has given us one on one times to share from the Bible with the local village leader who is a strong Muslim.  The village leader and his son are pictured pumping water for their household needs.

Please pray for God’s ministry in this village. The local animists are “cursing” the work we are doing in the village and taking money to perform pagan rituals.  Please pray for divine protection, strong relationships, and “that God may open to us a door for the Word, to declare the mystery of Christ.” (Colossians 4:3a)
