What another amazing year we got to experience together as a church! We kicked off the year with a renewed vision—to live as wise and winsome witnesses of the gospel. We desire to cultivate a gospel-shaped community, a place where everyone is known and cared for, and where our love overflows to the community around us!

This Year at Highlands

As we reflect back, we can’t help but marvel at the incredible work God has done in our church this year. Check out some of this year’s highlights!

EASTER 2023
We celebrated our resurrected Savior with 1,455 people in attendance including 68 first-time guests!
JOIN THE TEAM SUNDAY
Dozens of people expressed interest in serving and received information on the ministry opportunities that exist at Highlands.
NEXTGEN CAMPS
Our Elementary, Middle and High School students had incredible Summer camps with over 300 students participating!
MEMBER NIGHTS
Hundreds of members gathered for Member Nights as our church renews our commitment to loving and discipling one another.
DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES
Through the Reason for God and Family Matters classes, many were better equipped for a wise and winsome witness.
GENEROSITY
Through your generous gifts we were able to provide care and support for many including those affected by the wildfires in Maui.
MISSION TRIPS
Teams ministered and served alongside of our global partners in Costa Rica, Honduras, Dubai, Moldova, and Spain.
LOCAL KINDNESS
We served hundreds of families by collecting school supplies, hosting community events, and conducting free vehicle inspections.

Commissioning of the
Martinez Family

The Martinez family has been dreaming of returning to Europe to share the Gospel ever since they met there while serving in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2016. Two countries and two daughters later, the doors are finally opening for that to happen! After a trip to Europe in late 2022, God led them to consider Poland and began connecting them to people already serving there.

They were approved this summer, by Communitas International, a church planting organization, and are hoping to move to Krakow, Poland in late spring 2024. They are incredibly grateful for the community in Christ and support they have experienced at Highlands and are thankful to call our church their sending church.
