IMPACT REPORT 2023

What another amazing year we got to experience together as a church! We kicked off the year with a renewed vision—to live as wise and winsome witnesses of the gospel. We desire to cultivate a gospel-shaped community, a place where everyone is known and cared for, and where our love overflows to the community around us!

We hope you are encouraged and join us in praising God as you review some of the highlights from 2023.

Commissioning of the
Martinez Family

The Martinez family has been dreaming of returning to Europe to share the Gospel ever since they met there while serving in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2016. Two countries and two daughters later, the doors are finally opening for that to happen! After a trip to Europe in late 2022, God led them to consider Poland and began connecting them to people already serving there.

They were approved this summer, by Communitas International, a church planting organization, and are hoping to move to Krakow, Poland in late spring 2024. They are incredibly grateful for the community in Christ and support they have experienced at Highlands and are thankful to call our church their sending church.

Stories of Gospel Impact  –
Stories of Gospel Impact  –

We praise God for so many wonderful stories of grace in our church such as Ryan, Annie, and Laura’s stories. We hope that as you read these testimonies you will be inspired and give glory to God as we celebrate their stories of transformation.

LAURA'S STORY

Mathematics pointed me to Jesus

I was not raised in a Christian home, and religion always seemed intimidating and unapproachable to me. I was “too busy” and didn’t give it much thought until my junior year of college…

RYAN'S STORY

A midnight encounter that changed my life

I was raised in a religious home but lived as an atheist for most of my life. My mom was raised Catholic, and my dad was raised with a mixture of Christianity and Mormonism, but we never went to church…

ANNIE'S STORY

From doubts to dedication

My journey to where I am now with God has been a rollercoaster. I grew up going to church with my family and would read my Bible and do the right things, but I never had a personal connection to God…

Invest in Gospel Impact

Our church continues to see God work in us and through us for the sake of the gospel both here in South King County and around the globe. We are grateful for the generosity of many that call Highlands home and we invite you to consider making a donation now that will propel more life-changing ministry to take place in 2024.
