Helping men find and follow Jesus
Helping men find and follow Jesus
Our mission is to help the men of our church become disciples; men called to walk with Christ, equipped to live like Christ, and sent to work for Christ (2 Timothy 3:15-17). This is carried out by helping men develop authentic relationships with other Christian men at Highlands that will help them find the true meaning of the gospel through relevant teaching and shared experiences, and become leaders and living examples of the gospel in their households, community, and the world.

- From Idols to "Spirit and Truth"
- From Self-Sufficiency to Faithful Dependence
- Rewired for Biblical Manhood
Ronn's passion is spiritual development, especially of men, and his best place to discuss it is on the golf course. His goal is to challenge every believer to develop a Biblical worldview and to bring out the best in every Christian that we might reveal the reality of Christ in all we do.
Ronn grew up in Kansas but has lived 'from coast to coast'. He attended John Brown University on a baseball scholarship, then transferred to Kansas State University where he accepted Christ through Campus Crusade ministries. He met and married Janie at this same time, and they moved to Virginia, where Ronn continued to play baseball and graduated from Liberty University, then coached baseball at Liberty while finishing his Master of Divinity work at Liberty Theological Seminary.
They moved to Quincy, Illinois where they started a church, and Ronn completed his Doctoral work in Family and Marriage Counseling at that time. Ronn has served as a senior pastor in Quincy, Milwaukee, Tacoma, Washington and Lake Zurich, Illinois - as well as the Executive Pastor of Spiritual Development at Yosemite Church in Merced California. In 2012 Ronn became one of Man in the Mirror’s first Area Directors, becoming the Chicagoland Area Director. Since July of 2015 he has also served as Regional Field Director, and became the National Field Staff Chaplain in 2018. He is also on the National Teaching Faculty for Man In The Mirror.
Ronn and Janie have five children - Terra, and daughters Kealey, Karissa, Kaylen and Kendall; Josh and Becca, and their daughters Evah, Asher and Adi, and son Joshua; Daniel and Lindsy and their sons Liam and Ronan; Noelle and Nate and their son Aidan and twins Elijah and Leah; and Benjamin and Sarah and their sons Bear and Josiah, and daughters Elliotte and Elisabeth, (if you lost count, that’s 17 grandkids) as well as a bernedoodle named Cookie. Recently, just before their 48th anniversary, Janie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Ronn spends his spare time running (two marathons and 15 half marathons), hiking, and writing. He is the author of two books: Church – The Only Army That Shoots Its Wounded, and Blood Reflection, a novel.
Warren Mainard is the Executive Director of Impact Players, whose mission is to see men become great husbands, fathers and leaders. With over 25 years of ministry and leadership experience, Warren brings enthusiasm, vision, and catalytic energy wherever he goes. He loves his wife Leah and children Krista and Micah and has a deep understanding and empathy for the challenges and joys of marriage and parenting. Warren is a coach, consultant, speaker and author. He loves serving and building friendships with others and would love to connect with you.
